These terms and conditions apply to any event, audition or course organised by Elevate Ballet Training which can be booked through our website.
All event tickets are sold subject to availability and to these terms and conditions. Purchase of tickets represents acceptance of these terms and conditions. Failure to comply with these terms and conditions may result in the refusal of admission to Elevate Ballet Training events.
Bookings
All bookings will be dealt with in order of receipt. Payment will normally be processed within ten working days on receipt of application, unless during busy periods
Automated email acknowledgement of your booking will be sent on receipt of application. You are advised not to book travel unless you have received written confirmation of a place
By booking on a course or event, you agree that all details you provide to us are correct, that the credit or debit card you are using is your own and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost
Bookings are non-transferable to either another course or another participant, with the exception of our UK Inspire seminars (see point 3 below)
We reserve the right to refuse admission to events on reasonable grounds including those of health and safety or child protection. No refund will be issued
The number of event tickets you are permitted to purchase may be restricted. You will be notified of such restrictions at the time of purchase and we reserve the right to cancel tickets that are purchased in excess of these restrictions
At ticketed events, we may direct guests to specific seats should this be necessary.
Cancellations
Elevate Ballet Training reserves the right to cancel a course or event up to a month before the date. Full refunds of both tuition and accommodation (where applicable) will be made in these circumstances.
Withdrawals and refunds
If we are notified more than 30 days before the event a 50% refund or credit toward further courses within the same year will be issued.
If we are notified less than 30 days before the event we regret that no refund can be made.
Notice of withdrawal from courses
Notification of withdrawal must be put in writing (email is acceptable), after which an acknowledgement will be issued. Refunds will be based on the date of receipt of the withdrawal notification email or letter. Elevate Ballet Training takes no responsibility for non-receipt of email or postage notifications. Refunds will normally be processed within 14 days.
Insurance
Participants are advised to consider taking out insurance against withdrawal due to injury/illness, requiring medical treatment or hospitalisation, or due to personal or family reasons which might prevent them from completing the course. Participants with an existing injury or condition attend at their own risk.
Additional charges
Any charges incurred by Elevate Ballet Training on the behalf of a participant will be passed on to the participant or the participant’s Parent/Guardian, who will be liable to reimburse the full amount.
Waiver – physical contact
Physical contact may be necessary by members of the teaching faculty. If you would like further information please refer to our policy on physical contact.
Course and event content
Elevate Ballet Training reserves the right to alter the advertised course or event and/or faculty without prior notice. Where possible, alterations will be published on the website.We do not guarantee event performances will start at the scheduled time. No liability for affected transport arrangements is accepted.
Course and event content
By signing up to Elevate Ballet Training events or courses, participants are agreeing they are fit and well enough to take part and take full responsibility for their personal well-being.
Eligibility
Where applicable, participants must be of the minimum age and/or level stated in the relevant course information in order to participate on the chosen course. Elevate Ballet Training reserves the right to return applications which do not meet the age or level required.
Photography and recordings
Elevate Ballet Training reserves the right for the company or third parties to carry out general filming, photography and sound recording in or around the classes.Sometimes an image might single an event attendee out in its focus. These images, photos and video, may be used in a range of ways to promote the work of the company. This might include use on the company website, social media or as part of a company publication.
By booking an event, course, programme, or attending an audition, the participant consents to be photographed or sound recorded and to the commercial exploitation of such film or recording without any right to payment.
Any participant who objects to being photographed or recorded must indicate this by contacting us by email prior to the event.
Smoking
Elevate Ballet Training has a non-smoking policy. Smoking, including e-cigarettes, and the use of legal highs are not permitted on the premises.
Personal property
Elevate Ballet Training cannot be held responsible for any personal property. For some courses, lockers are provided.
Studios
Participants should not use or move any of the equipment unless authorised to do so.Only water in plastic or metal bottles may be taken into the studios.

Direct Debit guarantee
The Guarantee is offered by all banks and building societies that accept instructions to pay Direct Debits.
If there are any changes to the amount, date or frequency of your Direct Debit the organisation will notify you (normally 10 working days) in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed. If you request the organisation to collect a payment, confirmation of the amount and date will be given to you at the time of the request.
If an error is made in the payment of your Direct Debit, by the organisation or your bank or building society, you are entitled to a full and immediate refund of the amount paid from your bank or building society. If you receive a refund you are not entitled to, you must pay it back when the organisation asks you to.
You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by simply contacting your bank or building society. Written confirmation may be required. Please also notify the organisation.

We do not collect special category personal data from our audiences and supporters relating to their health, race, religious beliefs and political opinions unless there is a clear reason for doing so, such as providing additional access requirements at an event, course or performance. We only use this information to ensure we provide the best possible level of service and enable you to continue engaging with us.
Depending on your settings or privacy policies for social media like Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram or Twitter, you may give us permission to access information from those accounts or services.
How we may use your personal data
We always endeavour to be fair and transparent with how we use your information and ensure at all times that your information is protected.
The personal data you provide may be used:
to provide a service or fulfil a purchase (including Friends subscriptions, events and course bookings)
to process payments by debit/credit card or by setting up direct debits
to invite you to participate in relevant surveys
for marketing purposes when specific consent has been given
to better understand your preferences in order to tailor our communications to suit your interests
to analyse and improve the services we may provide
for security purposes, including CCTV in accordance with the company’s CCTV policy
We will not hold more information than required and will ensure all personal data held is kept up to date and used only for its specific purpose(s) outlined above. The retention policy will vary according to the purpose and may be contingent on circumstances when required to keep the data on the grounds of legal obligation and legitimate interest.
We will not sell, rent, trade or distribute your personal data to any third parties for marketing purposes unless we have received your prior permission to do so. Data may be shared with trusted service providers who are authorised to act on the company’s behalf and have entered into data processing agreements with us. These services may include payment processing, event ticketing, database services, website hosting and email delivery services. In these circumstances your data will only be used for the agreed purpose relating to the service that they are providing. We do not transfer any personal data to countries outside of the European Economic Area (EEA).
How we protect your personal data
All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any personal information retained is kept confidential and stored in a secure, password protected, database that is only accessible by relevant members of staff.
We will take appropriate technical and organisational steps to ensure the security of personal data about individuals, including policies around use of technology and devices, and access to company systems. All staff and governors are aware of the privacy policy and their duties under Data Protection Law and continue to receive relevant training.
Your rights
Wherever you are asked to submit personal data there will be an option for you to select the type of communications you wish to receive and in some cases how you wish to be contacted. You have the right to update your preferences at any time by contacting us at office@elevateballettraining.com.
The accuracy of your personal data is important to us and you have the right to update the personal data that we hold. Please help us keep our records up to date by notifying us when your personal data changes by contacting office@elevateballettraining.com.
If you ask for your data to be removed, we will keep the minimum amount of information to ensure we adhere to your request. Please note however that we may have a lawful reason to hold or use the personal data in question which does not require consent.
You have the right to ask us not to hold or use your personal data however this does mean we may not be able to provide you with the full range of services that are offered.
Under the Data Protection Act 1998, or after 25 May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to request full details of your personal data that is held by us.
